This e-mail contains important information about your upcoming appointment at Pearson VUE to take your NCEES exam. To avoid delays during the check-in process at the test center, verify that the name printed below matches your name as it appears on your government-issued ID and bring this letter with you. Please ensure your appointment details are correct. If any information is not correct, or if you have any questions about your appointment, please contact Pearson VUE immediately at 888-866-8766.

Admission Policy

Examinees will be required to bring one of the following IDs at the test center: ID issued by a government entity in the country in which you are testing, international travel passport in roman characters from your country of citizenship or U.S. military ID. IDs must be current and include an expiration date, your name and date of birth, a recognizable photo, and your signature. Valid U.S. military IDs that do not include a signature will be accepted. Student IDs will not be accepted. The first and last name on your appointment confirmation letter and your ID must match.

Items Permitted in Testing Room: Only the following items are allowed into the testing room

• The ID used during the admission process
• A calculator (without the cover) that complies with the current NCEES Calculator Policy 
• Key to your test center locker
• Reusable booklet supplied by Pearson VUE
• Eyeglasses (without the case)
• Light sweater or jacket
• Items included in the Pearson VUE Comfort Aid List(copy available from the test administrator upon request)

Items Prohibited in Testing Room: Items not permitted in the testing room include but are not limited to: cell phones, hand-held computers/personal digital assistants (PDAs) or other electronic devices, pagers, watches, wallets, purses, hats (and other head coverings), bags, coats, books, notes, food and beverages.

No personal items may be taken into the testing room. This includes all bags, books not authorized by the sponsor, notes, phones, pagers, watches and wallets.

Reschedule Policy

Examinees may reschedule their appointment through their MyNCEES account, but will be required to pay applicable reschedule fees payable directly to Pearson VUE. Examinees who reschedule less than 48 hours in advance of their scheduled appointment will pay a higher fee than those who reschedule more than 48 hours in advance of their scheduled appointment.

Cancellation Policy

Examinees may cancel their exam as long as they do so more than 48 hours in advance of their scheduled appointment. Cancellations that are received more than 48 hours in advance of a scheduled appointment will be eligible for a refund of the NCEES registration fee less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations are not allowed within 48 hours of a scheduled appointment.

Please note that canceling your exam will cancel your authorization to test and require you to reapply and pay for the exam through NCEES. If applicable, refunds will be automatically applied by NCEES within 7-10 business days.
